(EXPIRED) Wayfair Way Day 2021: 13 Ways To Save More With Wayfair Gift Cards

Wayfair is holding its Way Day event from April 28-29, 2021 this year. In addition to the savings you can obtain during that two day period, you can save even more on Wayfair purchases by paying with their gift cards bought at a discount.

We have a resource listing 40+ ways to save money on gift cards, but there are lots of specific deals available right now which can save you money on their gift cards. If you’re planning on taking advantage of Wayfair’s Way Day, here are 13 ways to save on Wayfair gift cards.

1) HappyCards.com Amex Offer

This Amex Offer came out yesterday which was perfect timing for Way Day. That’s because several Happy gift card brands can be exchanged for Wayfair gift cards:

• Happy Mom
• Happy Grad
• Happy Holidays (two versions of this card)
• Holiday Favorites

You can get $15 back as a statement credit when buying a $100 Happy gift card, so that’s a good way to save 15% on that portion of your spend.

2) Office Depot/OfficeMax

Office Depot and OfficeMax stores are currently offering 25% back in rewards when buying $100 worth of Happy gift cards.

3) Discover Cashback Bonus

Discover allows you to redeem the Cashback Bonus you earn on Discover It cards for many different third party gift cards and they add a bonus when doing so.

They recently added the opportunity to redeem your Cashback Bonus for Wayfair gift cards, giving an extra 25% on top of the cashback you redeem (which is the same as a 20% discount). That means you can, for example, redeem $80 worth of cashback and get a $100 Wayfair gift card in return.

4) Meijer

If you live in an area with Meijer stores, they have an mPerks Rewards offer giving a $5 reward for every $50 spent on most third party gift cards. You can do that up to 10 times, so you could buy a $500 Wayfair gift card and get back $50 in rewards towards your next grocery shop. You can also pay for the gift card with a credit card that earns more at grocery stores to make it even more rewarding.

5) Giant/Martin’s/Stop & Shop

Another grocery store opportunity is at Giant, Martin’s and Stop & Shop. Their offer is a little different though; they’re offering 8x points when buying Happy gift cards. Those points can be redeemed for up to 16% off gas (or more depending on the chain and location where you buy the gift cards) or for 8% off groceries.

6) Giant Eagle

Giant Eagle is another grocery chain offering a deal on Happy gift cards right now. Their offer is for 3x Fuelperks+ for every $50 spent on Happy gift cards. For every $50 you spend, the 150 Fuelperks+ you’ll earn can save you 6% on your grocery shop no matter how much that grocery shop costs. Spend $100 & you’ll get 12% off your grocery shop, etc.

That means that if you buy a $100 Happy gift card which can be converted to Wayfair and then subsequently redeem those Fuelperks+ when spending $200 on groceries, you’ll be saving $24, or 24% of what you originally spent on the gift card.

7) Rite Aid

Rite Aid is offering $8 Wellness+ Rewards BonusCash when buying $50 worth of Wayfair or Express gift cards this week. You’re allowed to buy two, so buying $100 worth of Wayfair gift cards would earn you $16 in BonusCash.

8) Staples Amex Offer

There’s a targeted Staples Amex Offer on business accounts which gives $25 back when spending $100 online or in-store. Staples sells Wayfair gift cards, so buying $100 worth of their gift cards will get you back $25 as a statement credit.

9) Lowe’s Amex Offer

Along similar lines to the Staples Amex Offer listed above, there’s a Lowe’s Amex Offer giving back 10% on up to $500 or $1,000 of spend. Although you can’t buy gift cards for Wayfair from Lowe’s online, you can in-store from their gift card rack. If they’re out of Wayfair cards in-store, you could buy Happy gift cards which include Wayfair as an eligible retailer.

10) H-E-B

If you live in Texas, H-E-B is offering a $10 H-E-B gift card when buying $50 worth of select gift card brands, one of which is Wayfair. Although there’s a limit of one, it shouldn’t be too hard taking advantage of this deal more than once.

Note that this offer ends today (April 27), so you’ll need to buy the gift cards before Way Day actually starts.

11) USAA Shopping Portal

The USAA shopping portal is offering $20 bonus cashback when spending $100 through the portal. You could buy a $100 Wayfair gift card from GiftCards.com after clicking through from the portal, or buy discounted gift cards from Raise. Note that you have to actually spend at least $100, so if buying from Raise the face value of the Wayfair gift cards will need to be higher than $100 as they’ll already be discounted.

12) Kroger

Kroger and its affiliate stores are currently offering 4x fuel points on home, hobby and Happy gift cards through April 27. Wayfair gift cards fall under the home category, with Happy gift cards also being an option.

13) Wayfair Amex Offer

There was a recent Wayfair Amex Offer giving back $15 when spending $75. That offer has since ended, but there’s an additional Amex Offer giving 5x bonus Membership Rewards points per dollar spent at Wayfair. That’s valid on up to $10,000 of spend, so if you were targeted for that offer and are planning on spending a ton during Wayfair’s Way Day event, this could be the easiest payment option even thought the discounted gift card deals listed above could save you even more money.
