Following my post earlier today about Meijer now selling third party gift cards online, reader Thia reached out to give me the heads up that Harris Teeter also sells third party gift cards online.
Harris Teeter is owned by Kroger, although their fuel points programs run separately. Despite that, I’d always assumed that if Harris Teeter did sell third party gift cards online, it would simply redirect to Kroger’s website where they sell them because that’s what other Kroger brands like Ralphs, King Soopers, City Market, etc. do.
It turns out I was wrong. You can find Harris Teeter’s offering on their own website here. As with Kroger, it’s powered by Blackhawk Network and so purchases won’t code as groceries. You can still earn fuel points on the purchase and, as with Kroger, you’ll automatically earn 4x fuel points when buying them online if there’s a corresponding 4x promotion in-store.
As with Kroger and Meijer, Harris Teeter doesn’t sell Best Buy gift cards online. However, they do sell Giving Good Habitat For Humanity and Choice Cheers To You! gift cards which can be converted to Home Depot if you’re wanting to order Home Depot gift cards from the comfort of your home with the subsequent 2x or 4x fuel points.
It doesn’t look like Harris Teeter runs gift card promotions online like Kroger does, but I’ll keep an eye on that in case anything changes.
@Stephen Pepper, please confirm that we can just buy gift cards on the giftcards section of Harris and Meijer without having to sign up for accounts on them. When I tried to sign up for a Harris account, I was asked to provide a VIC number. Apparently, I can only get this number instore. Thanks.
It looks like you can check out as a guest with both of them.
