Cashback Monitor has made a welcome enhancement to its site today as they’ve reinstated information about the cashback rates available on the Upromise shopping portal.
If you’re not familiar with Cashback Monitor, you’re missing out. It’s a site which lists all the rates available at every retailer available on nearly every shopping portal, making it simple to see at a glance which portal is offering the best rate. Due to the different types of rewards you can earn from shopping portals there are separate columns listing rates for cashback, points/miles, bank points and other points portals.
Upromise used to be included in their search results, but a year or two ago they removed it for some reason. That was a shame as Upromise sometimes offered pretty competitive rates. It’s therefore great that their rates are back on Cashback Monitor.
What’s slightly strange is that Cashback Monitor has their site listed under ‘Other Reward Points’. Upromise offers cashback, so it would make more sense for it to be listed with other regular cashback portals. The reason it’s been listed under ‘Other Reward Points’ might be because Upromise is, in theory, used for saving for college. However, it offers straight cashback and you can withdraw earnings to your bank account rather than a 529 account, so it is for all intents and purposes a cashback site.
