Tips & Ideas
Target tends to offer a 10% discount on their gift cards a couple of times per year. It’s interesting that they’re running this sale right now though seeing as Target Deal Days is next week and the holidays are coming up which is when they usually offer 10% off too.
Note that this offer is only valid for Target RedCard holders. The good thing is that you can get the debit card version which won’t add to your 5/24 count, plus they’re offering $40 off a future purchase when spending $40 right now. If you get approved straight away, you will presumably be able to take advantage of this 10% discount deal.
It might be worth holding off on buying these until Saturday October 1 though. That’s because PayPal is a 5% category on the Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex cards from October 1 and Target lets you pay via PayPal. Although the RedCard ordinarily gets you a 5% discount on Target purchases including third party gift cards, that’s not the case when it comes to Target gift cards themselves.
It’s also worth clicking through from a shopping portal on the off-chance that it’ll track – here are the current rates.
