Tips & Ideas
The inclusion of Choice Cheers To You! could make this of interest for resellers as those can be redeemed for Home Depot gift cards.
If you buy online the $10 Target gift cards will get tied to your account and so they can’t be resold. If buying in-store, you can’t reload the same Target gift card, so you’ll end up with several $10 cards if scaling the deal.
If buying in store, is it necessary to vary the payment method? I understand that it is good practice to do so, but I have MCGCs are would really like to use up. However, I am concerned about the $10 Target GCs being zeroed out before I can use them.
Why would your $10 Targets zero out? Because Target cancels them because you used MCGCs? I use the same form of payment multiple times as long as my bank allows it.
I am concerned that Target would cancel them because it’s a limit of 1, which you are exceeding by buying multiple ones in-store.
Whatever happens will happen at Point of Sale. After that nothing will happen. They don’t restrict you from buing multiple, obviously in separate transaction. If they were to stop you anyway, that would be by not letting you buy more. Once paid, they can’t clawback.
I’d be wary of using VGCs & MCGCs at Target seeing as they have form for pulling shenanigans. I’d therefore also be concerned about them cancelling cards and refunding to the original form of payment which would be a hassle with VGCs and MCGCs.
Wow, had to look up the meaning of “to have form.” That’s pretty advanced British slang. But seriously, thank you for the advice — I’ll be careful.
I’d never realized that was a British phrase – good to know!
Would you still be concerned if the payment Method for each transaction is made with a different MCGC?
Yep, unless you keep very good records and keep hold of all the MCGCs you use in case funds get refunded on there.
