This is a little disappointing compared to normal offers because the $5 instant discount means you’ll still be paying a $1.95 activation fee when buying $200 Visa gift cards. It’ll still be worth it for some if you’re looking to max out your 5x spending threshold on some Chase Ink cards.
On the positive side, Staples is maintaining the limit of 5 per day. It might also be easier to find $200 VGCs in stock at your local Staples seeing as fewer people are likely to be interested in this deal.
As you’ll note from the dates of past deals, Staples seems to run this offer once per year, so hopefully this is the last we’ll see of it until next year.
