Tips & Ideas

The Speedy Cash gift cards apparently can’t be used to purchase other gift cards, but it does mean this is a 15% discount on gas. From what I can tell, it looks like all gift card brands are eligible this time around (it was only select gift cards a few months ago), but be sure to check the sign in your local Speedway to make sure. Update: This is only available on 7 different gift card brands. While it’s a shame that Amazon isn’t one of the included brands, the fact that Best Buy, Lowe’s and Home Depot are included is great and makes this profitable for reselling for many people.

Be sure to pay with a credit card that earns more at gas stations. The Chase Freedom card is offering 5% this quarter, so that’s a great option if you have one. I’ll hopefully be near a Speedway next week, so this deal will help me max out the $1,500 quarterly limit on the Freedom card.
