Tips & Ideas
Small Luxury Hotels of the World is the chain with an affiliation with Hyatt. If you’re planning a paid stay at one of their properties, this is a good way to save up to 16.67% on your stay (the 20% bonus means it’s a 16.67% discount). Note that you won’t be able to redeem these gift cards at other Hyatt properties – only SLH ones.
Something important to be aware of is that the gift cards are only valid for 12 months, so only buy these if you have definite plans for a paid stay at an SLH property.

Can you book on hyatt dot com and pay at checkout with these? Or do you have to book direct, thus foregoing hyatt benefits?
Here is the text of the email from SLH CSR: “ I am sorry SLH gift certificates can only be used for stays booked directly with slh.com. they cannot be used on Hyatt bookings.
Best regards
Suzanne”
I take that to mean an SLH booking made from the Hyatt website is a no go
Aside from getting elite night credits (when booking via Hyatt.com) I don’t think elite status matters as Hyatt elite benefits are not recognized at SLH properties if I recall
The T&C on these are weird. We have an SLH stay next summer (booked with Hyatt points) where this would be nice to help cover some food & bev cost, but I’m not confident they can actually be redeemed that way.
