A couple of weeks ago, Slide announced that they’d be moving from being an app-only company to having a website where you can buy gift cards in order to earn cashback too.
Slide hadn’t advised when their website would be going live, but they’ve sent customers and email today to announce that GetSlide.com (my referral link) is now live. This is a positive development because being able to buy gift cards from a browser window on a laptop or desktop computer can make it easier to transfer the card details over to any applicable spreadsheets you might have if you’re buying the cards to resell.
I’ve not gotten around to buying any gift cards from GetSlide yet, so let us know in the comments below if you have and there’s anything notable about the experience. Or not notable about it as that hopefully means it’s all running as smoothly as planned.
Just so people don’t make the same mistake I made about trying to buy an Amazon gift card (and because it only says this on the app and not on the website): “You must have a total of $10.00 or more in cash back to proceed with this Amazon purchase”. Adding money to your Slide balance does not count towards cash back for this.
