Tips & Ideas
It’s great that this latest iteration of Sam’s Club membership Chase Offers gives a percentage back rather than a fixed amount of $10 because it means you can earn an even larger statement credit if you sign up for the more expensive Plus membership which costs $110.
Having said that, there are various other membership deals available giving $25 off Club memberships (i.e. net cost of $25) or $40 off Plus memberships (i.e. net cost of $70). Seeing as you have to spend at least $50 to trigger the statement credit, you’d be better off taking advantage of one of those other deals if you’re only after a Club membership because the $25 charge wouldn’t be sufficient. Here’s a link to one of those $25 deals; rather than clicking on that though, click through to Sam’s Club from a shopping portal first, then copy and paste that link in the URL bar and you should earn cashback from the portal too.
For the Plus membership, you can stack these deals. First, click through from a shopping portal, then copy and paste this link into the address bar which will reduce the membership from $110 to $70. You can then pay with a Chase card with this Chase Offer loaded to it to get 20% back (i.e. $14) for a net cost of $56. At the time of publishing this post, the Upromise and Swagbucks shopping portals are giving 50% back on memberships and also directly link to the discounted membership deal, so that would be an additional $35 back for a net cost of $21.
Make sure your payment card is linked in the Dosh app as that sometimes gives bonus cashback when paying for a Sam’s Club membership with a linked card.
