Tips & Ideas
This is an excellent deal because it can generate much more spend than normal gift card deals at Rite Aid, you get 20% back in BonusCash which will be profitable for some of these brands (depending on how you value BonusCash) and there’s a limit of five which is higher than normal.
Update: GC has noted something potentially important in the comments below. The image in the ad shows Uber Eats gift cards as being eligible, but the text in the ad beneath that mentions Uber gift cards. It’s therefore not clear which of those two brands is eligible, or if both brands are. Unfortunately with the way these BonusCash deals work, there’s no way of knowing before buying which of those two brands is eligible.
Says Uber in the footnote but shows Uber Eats in the photo
I add the ‘Uber gift cards’ tag when there’s an Uber Eats deal and vice versa because their gift cards are interchangeable – that way if someone checks the tag for one brand or the other, they’ll always see all applicable deals.
So buying either of Uber or Uber Eats should work? Or only Uber Eats?
Only Uber Eats works for this promotion.
Thanks. By the way, I meant the footnote of the promo photo says Uber but the photo shows Uber Eats.
I didn’t mean the footnote of the post you made.
Hi G C,
The footnote of the promo photo was created or written by Rite Aid, not Stephen.
The photo is the actual add you see when you open the Rite Aid Weekly Ad.
Yes that’s why I’m confused. I’m not sure if Rite Aid meant Uber or Uber Eats?
Should I trust the photo of the ad or the description of the ad? 🙂
Hi GC,
I purchased $500 of the Uber Eats GCs yesterday and loaded it all into my Uber account. I also saw the $100 Bonus Cash immediately in my Rite Aid account, very nice deal!
So hope this helps.
Thanks! I asked Rite Aid on Facebook and they said both Uber/Uber Eats is eligible.
Did you buy them separately or in one purchase?
Oh, I see what you mean – I’d missed that part of the ad. I’m not sure which of the two brands would work – perhaps both? That could be a problem though because there’s no way of knowing when buying if you’ll definitely earn the BonusCash for Uber or Uber Eats.
Actually, you can go to their Facebook page and then dm them to clarify. Attach a screenshot of the offer. The Rite Aid Facebook team is pretty responsive.
Would like to do it myself, but trying to avoid doing so as I have some unresolved issues regarding some damaged item that I have bought.
This is the response from the Rite Aid
“We appreciate your patience! Uber and Uber Eats are included in this offer. If you have any issues during or after your purchase, please don’t hesitate to reach out.”

@Stephen Pepper, does the limit of 5 apply to combination of any of the brands or is it 5 per brand?
I think it’s 5 total rather than 5 per brand.
Does anyone know if the purchase must be done in one purchase? Can I make multiple purchases to add up to $100? There are Chase offers for 5% or 10% off, but up to $60 spend. Would be great to combine both deals.
According to the terms on the weekly ad “Bonus Cash Rewards purchase requirements must by done in a single transaction”
They allow to use the BonusCash to buy GC’s?
They do not
Just wanted to add a data point regarding the update.
I purchased 5 $100 Uber Eats gift cards two weeks ago when Rite Aid first offered this and immediately received the $100 Bonus Cash. Added the cards to my Uber account and can use for either Uber eats or Uber rides.
Did you try to buy again last week? I’m not sure if the 5 limit is for a week or overall
