Tips & Ideas
At first glance, this isn’t a particularly exciting offer seeing as 100 bonus points are worth $1, so getting $3 back on $150 spend is only a 2% return. However, it can potentially stack with a couple of other deals to make it even better.
For starters, the Point debit card is offering 10x (i.e. 10% cashback) on Amazon purchases through December 25, 2021. If you get your three transactions in over the course of the next few days and spent exactly $150, you’d be earning a total of 12% which is excellent for Amazon purchases.
There’s also a separate Streak promotion running right now that’s giving 3,000 bonus points ($30) when spending a total of $200 at any retailers over the course of seven days in a row. It’s too late to start that Streak now and complete it as it ends on December 24, but if you started it a few days ago and are still working on it, spending $150 at Amazon over the course of today, tomorrow and the next day will stack nicely with that other Streak.
Side note: that other Streak is for seven days, not five like it’s been in the past. Unfortunately I forgot that and did a streak for five days on my wife’s card, but not the additional two and so we’ve missed out on the $30 from that offer.
