Update 4/12/22: Just a quick reminder that there’s only one week left before PayPal Key gets shut down.
PayPal announced yesterday that they’re going to be shutting down PayPal Key (PPK) from April 20, 2022.
That’s sad news for anyone who’d been able to set up PPK and found some kind of usage for it over the past couple of years that hadn’t been shut down yet. One of those useful options has been Slide. They offer 2% additional cashback when preloading your account by debit card. PayPal Key functions as a debit card but which is funded by the credit card of your choosing. As a result, you could earn that 2% cashback from Slide while simultaneously earning credit card rewards. That’s still an option, but only for the next few weeks until PPK is closed.
Farewell PayPal Key, we barely knew thee.
Does PPK work as debit for fed tax payment?
Unfortunately not – they stopped the ability to do that soon after PPK launched.
