Update 6/17/20: They’re sadly no longer offering 25% cashback on Cabela’s gift cards – it was a nice run while it lasted. Rates for other retailers have also reduced as follows:
- Red Robin – 15%
- GameStop – 10%
- Ulta Beauty – 7%
Update 6/13/20: It looks like the limit resets at midnight ET, so if you did this deal on Friday you can do it again now that it’s Saturday on the east coast.

Tips & Ideas
They recently changed the Pay With Ibotta feature so that you can no longer pay with a credit card. I assumed that would be the death of Pay With Ibotta’s usefulness, but it turns out I was wrong.
Although you can only pay with a debit card, some of these deals might still be worth it for reselling, particularly 25% cashback on Cabela’s gift cards. We often see 20% discounts, but 25% cashback even when paying with a debit card will be worth it for many.
Note that this is cashback rather than an instant discount, so you’ll be paying the full amount. The cashback will be available instantly in your Ibotta account though and so, assuming you buy a large enough denomination, you’ll be able to cash it out immediately.
There appears to be a limit of $250 per day which is a little disappointing, but I’d rather have 25% cashback on $250 of Cabela’s gift cards rather than nothing at all. Hopefully they continue these types of decent cashback rates.
Update: The limit of $250 per day is across all brands, not per brand. You’ll therefore want to buy the most valuable brand first.
Bought Cabela’s ($250) and then tried to buy GameStop ($250)
“That amount exceeds the daily purchase limit of
$250.00 through Ibotta.”
Yep, I encountered the same thing unfortunately. I’ve updated the post to confirm that the limit is $250 per day across all brands.
Guess that I’m too late only see Krispy Kreme offer with Pay with Ibotta
My wife’s account is only seeing that too – I’m not sure why that is because on my account I see dozens of other brands including Cabela’s, Ulta Beauty, etc.
I see the same on iPhone but Android is OK.
