Update 2: G C has confirmed in the comments that these do indeed code as Panera / dining.
Update 7/20/23: rxgeek has pointed out in the comments that it looks like payments online also appear to be processed by Panera nowadays rather than wgiftcard.com like they used to be. That hopefully means that online purchases will code as dining. It might also mean that Choice Let’s Eat gift cards can be redeemed for these Panera cards.
The Deal

Tips & Ideas
Online purchases are processed by a third party, so that won’t code as dining. However, Panera does also sell gift cards in their app and payment for those are processed by Panera themselves. As a result, that apparently does code as dining, plus it means you can stack it with a Panera Chase Offer if you have one of those.
Please confirm these are sold by a 3rd party. The diect link to offer goes to panerabread.com.
Ooh, interesting. It looks like they might’ve changed how these are processed nowadays. In the past it used to redirect to wgiftcard.com, but this change hopefully means it is processed directly now.
When this deal was around last time (https://gcgalore.com/panera-bread-save-20-on-gift-cards-ends-6-18-23/) I purchased couple of cards using Chase cards and can confirm that they coded as Dining.
Excellent, thanks for confirming that.
When this deal was around last time (June this year), I bought couple of GCs using Chase cards. They coded as Fast Food purchase and I got 3x multiplier using Sapphire Preferred for example.
Stacked with a Chase offer on 2 cards.
