If you don’t mind dealing with Mastercard rather than Visa gift cards, this Office Depot/OfficeMax deal is a little better than this week’s deal at Staples as it’s slightly profitable.
Buying two $200 Mastercard gift cards will mean your net cost will be $398.90 (i.e. profitable by $1.10) and you’ll earn 1,995 Ultimate Rewards if paying with a Chase Ink Cash or Ink Plus card. You could buy one $200 card and one $100 card to save $1 on activation fees, but you’ll come out ahead points-wise by buying two $200 cards.
