Tips & Ideas
In the past this deal was only valid on Happy gift cards, but occasionally Giving Good and Choice gift cards are added to the mix. This time around only Choice gift cards are listed as being eligible in addition to Happy gift cards; what’s a little strange is that Giving Good gift cards aren’t listed as being eligible, but nor are they specifically excluded either.
For gift card resellers, the best play here (assuming Giving Good gift cards aren’t eligible) is to buy a Choice Cheers To You! gift card and convert that to a Home Depot gift card.
You can make this even better by paying with a card that earns more at office supply stores, as well as by linking your card to Dosh to earn an extra 2% back (albeit with a $10 limit per day). Activate the card-linked offer in the Payce app for an additional $5 back (that’s limited to $5 per month). Bitmo also offers 1 Perk Point per dollar at Office Depot/OfficeMax which is worth 0.1%. There’s also a targeted Office Depot/OfficeMax Chase Offer giving 10% back.

Just bought one earlier this evening. The gentleman at the register said it takes about a week or so for the $25 to post to my rewards account and it should say it’s pending. I checked online and nothing yet. I’ll keep checking to make sure I get my rewards.
Bought $100 card on 4/25/21, so far nothing…
I’m going to give Office Depot’s customer service a call tomorrow if it doesn’t show up on my account.
I called them today, since it’s been eight days and on my account it says I didn’t receive a reward. The lady on the phone said I was supposed to receive some sort of coupon (?) when I made the purchase. I emailed her the photo above to show her what this rewards promotional offer was. She said she couldn’t read the fine print on the photo. Nonetheless, she said she would credit me the $25 and that it would take five to seven business days for that rewards to show up. She didn’t have a confirmation email or number to give me.
Anyway, that means I’ll still be checking this for a week or so, and if I don’t get it, I’ll call back then.
Last month they had the same deal and I purchased a 100$ card, as of now the points are not showing in the account.
Purchased yesterday, $25 reward points showed up in my account today. However, the purchase did not trigger a 2% Dosh payment via my Dosh-linked credit card.
Does it say anywhere on the receipt you will get 25% in rewards. Made the purchase today. I did give my account phone number at the register while paying. Don’t see 25% back in rewards pending under my account yet. May be will show up tomorrow?
There have been issues with rewards being credited in the past, so you might need to contact Office Depot/OfficeMax to ensure they get credited correctly. Hopefully the points show up in the next day or two though.

How long does it take for the rewards to post?
Usually 24 hours but can be up to 48 hours for me.
