At the start of the month, Dollar Dig increased the cashback it offered for gift card purchases in the Slide app from 4% to 6.5%. Despite earning a slightly higher rate than the 6% TopCashback was offering, I decided to continue tapping through from TopCashback before making Slide purchases seeing as I’ve always had a very good experience with TopCashback, both with Slide and purchases from other sites.
However, a week ago TopCashback dropped the rate they offered for Slide purchases from 6% to 4%. I was willing to forgo 0.5% cashback to stick with TopCashback, but a difference of 2.5% cashback was too much to pass up.
As a result, I’ve been tapping through to Slide from Dollar Dig rather than TopCashback since April 4. I was a little apprehensive doing this because Dollar Dig was an unknown quantity to me. However, they’ve been around for a while and reader EW allayed some of my concerns when he reported that he’d used Dollar Dig for more than 100 purchases and only three or so hadn’t tracked.
People both on this site and in private groups had asked me to share my experiences with Dollar Dig as they had similar concerns as me. Well, I’m pleased to confirm that my experience so far has been almost perfect.
Since April 4, I’ve made 69 purchases in the Slide app after tapping through from Dollar Dig. Of those, 68 have tracked – a 98.6% success rate. I had occasional transactions that didn’t track when tapping through from TopCashback, so it seems like there’s no difference in terms of tracking. In one sense that’s to be expected seeing as it’s Slide that’s doing the tracking and reporting, but it’s still comforting to see that long list of tracked transactions!
One thing I’m unsure about is how long it takes for tracked Slide purchases to move from Pending to Payable. With TopCashback it’s listed as 11 weeks, but I’ve had transactions become payable within five weeks at times with them. Dollar Dig doesn’t state how long it takes, but it’ll hopefully be somewhat similar.
Given this good experience so far, I’ll definitely continue using Dollar Dig for as long as they offer 6.5% cashback for existing Slide users unless another portal manages to offer an even better rate. Even if TopCashback brings back the 6% rate they’d offered for several months until recently, I’d likely stick with Dollar Dig for the extra 0.5% now that I know they track and report reliably.
Update 7/11/22: Since writing this post back in April 2022, Dollar Dig dropped the standard cashback rate from 6.5% to 4%. Slide subsequently lowered the commission rate for some brands (Nike, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Uber, Uber Eats & eBay) which means those brands only earn 2% cashback via Dollar Dig now.
Anyway, I wanted to give a further update regarding my Dollar Dig experience. I’ve used them for a lot of gift card purchases from Slide and they’ve always been very good at tracking; I’ve heard good things about their tracking from other people too. I was pleased that everything was tracking fine, but that left me with another potential concern – tracking is all well and good, but would there be any issues with actually getting paid. It seemed to take TopCashback ~2 months to pay out on Slide purchases whereas Dollar Dig takes 3 months.
Well, I started making Slide purchases via Dollar Dig in early April, so those early transactions have now moved to ‘Confirmed’ status which means they’re payable. I’ve already requested payout via PayPal once and received that a couple of days later and have just requested another payout as ~$2,500 just became payable. This gives me much greater confidence with continuing to use Dollar Dig for Slide purchases, although it’d be nice if Slide returned on TopCashback too just to spread some of the transactions around to mitigate risk.

If you’re interested in signing up for Dollar Dig, I’d appreciate it if you used my referral link. I get $2.50 if you use my referral link, but I’m not sure if you get anything.
Considering I have never had a SINGLE TopCashback Slide purchase track (a 100% failure rate) I look forward to giving Dollar Dig a try.
Wow, it’s strange that it’s never tracked a single transaction. Have you been clicking through from the TopCashback app or the website? I feel like I’ve seen more reports of it not tracking from the app; I’ve always had good tracking when clicking through from their website on my phone.
Try using incognito on Chrome if you have issues or deleting your cache/cookies. Browsers like Brave won’t ever track purchases.
All 4 of my attempts have worked clicking Slide from TopCashback.
Dollar Dig doesn’t seem to have an android app and Slide only works on a phone. Are you opening Dollar Dig on a browser in your phone or perhaps they have and iOS app?
Yep, just using the Dollar Dig website on my phone – it automatically opens the Slide app.
