Update 1/9/23: I’d bought a bunch of gift cards from this J. Crew Factory Chase Offer but had counted them as a loss as the $20 statement credits hadn’t posted. However, I got a bunch of emails from Chase today confirming that the credits have posted, so if you were in the same position, you should be getting the credits too.
The Deal
- Get 20% back at J. Crew Factory with a targeted Chase Offer.
Key Terms
- Expires December 19, 2022.
- Maximum $20 back.
- Offer valid one time only.
- Payment must be made directly with the merchant.
Tips & Ideas
It looks like J. Crew Factory processes payment for online J. Crew gift card orders themselves, so buying a $100 digital or physical gift card should lock in the 20% discount.
Click through from a shopping portal in case the purchase tracks – here are the current rates.
I bought digital cards online on December 6th but haven’t received the credit yet. It seems long – have others had luck getting the credit?
I’m still waiting too – getting a little concerned that payments for gift cards are somehow processed differently.
Since it didn’t exclude them explicitly in the terms, perhaps it makes sense to call?
Been through the same. It never triggered and eventually expired. I had to call them up and explain the shit to off-shore customer care team and escalate to managers who dont know what J.Crew spells like.
Two separate calls (for Debit and Credit cards) in total lasted ~2 hours, definitely not worth 30$ that I was asking for. Long story short, now J,Crew shows up under ‘Redeemed’ and hoping it to be deposited in 7-10 business days.
CHASE IS NOT DOING WELL WITH TRACKING THESE OFFERS.
Just to add a bit to this…..I’ve had the same issues Hate Chase has had periodically on offers the past year. Three comments: 1) Its much easier to call about Chase Offers on your credit card than your debit card. For the former, Chase actually has people dedicated to this and have some idea what you are talking about. For the latter, it is a nightmare and is something I’ll never do again….its not worth my time. 2) Just because the offer is showing up on your “Redeemed” tab, don’t assume it will credit to your account. Stay vigilant; I’ve had to still call and follow up to get paid, again for debit card offers. 3) Finally, having talked to enough people in Chase Customer Support, this issue has to do with the specific merchants not paying Chase what they owe on the offer. Yes, this does not excuse Chase’s joke of customer support, but does explain why certain jokes of merchants (like J Crew) are the ones people are having issues with. In other words, it has nothing to do with the fact that we are buying gift cards.
Hope this helps your readers, Stephen. Thanks for the post.
