Tips & Ideas
There was a Hyatt Chase Offer back in January giving 15% off, although that was restricted to Hyatt Place and Hyatt House. While this offer is only for 10% back, it has more flexibility because you can use it at any Hyatt brand which makes it much easier to use.
From a gift card perspective, you should be able to trigger the offer by buying a physical Hyatt gift card from the front desk at any property that sells them. Note that it has to be a physical gift card because their eGift cards are processed by Buyatab and so don’t trigger statement credit offers such as these.
This appears to be a highly targeted offer and I’ve a feeling it’s only available on Hyatt credit cards. My wife’s Chase Sapphire Reserve is usually the card that gets the most offers, but that wasn’t targeted whereas my World of Hyatt credit card was, as was my wife’s old version of the Hyatt card. That’s great because it means I’ll also earn 4x World of Hyatt points on the purchase if I do get to take advantage of it.
