10% off virtual Visa gift cards sounds like an awesome deal. However, the fact that the maximum discount is $10 makes this a lot less interesting because after purchase fees have been taken into account you’ll only make $4.05 profit. Still, free money is free money, especially if they fulfill order after order.
If you don’t have any problems liquidating these gift cards, you might as well load the card with $250 because the purchase fee will be the same regardless and this’ll generate some extra spend.
Also be sure to click through from a shopping portal – here are the current rates. Note that you can only earn portal rewards on the first $2,000 of purchases each month, so if you’ve already maxed that out this month then that won’t be of benefit unless it happens to track and pay out anyway.
Having said all that, the deals giving 5% off virtual Visa gift cards (see this post and this post) are better than this 10% off deal because they’re valid on up to $1,500 of virtual Visa gift card purchases per order. While the percentage savings are lower, the total discount you can receive and the overall spend you’ll achieve is much better.
