Woohoo!
About 9 months ago Giftcards.com disappeared from airline shopping portals. It’s felt like a long wait, but it’s now back on the American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Southwest and United portals. Even better, it’s at an increased rate for all of them at the moment, 2x on all the portals with the exception of American Airlines which is at 3x.
The higher rate for American is particularly interesting because it means you’ll earn 3x AAdvantage miles as well as 3x Loyalty Points which is a great return, especially if you’re trying to earn status with AA.
“Not eligible on purchases made with coupon or discount codes that are not found on this site.” None of the $10 off $100 Visa codes seem to be listed on AA portal at this time. Anyone know if it will likely sitll track?
They added EOS10OFF to the AA portal today.
3x AA miles is fantastic! I was under the impression that the loyalty points would only be 1x though. I thought AA awarded loyalty points only at the base rate.
In theory that’s the case, but in this case 3x is effectively the base rate. When they run promos where they offer a fixed amount of bonus miles (e.g. spend $500 & get 2,000 bonus miles), you don’t earn an equivalent number of Loyalty Points.
I was able to order some, but the last three attempts to order (different credit cards), I got an email that my order was cancelled due to not meeting their screening process. Any suggestions on how to get the orders to go through? I’ve already sent them an email about it, but no answer yet.
I had the same issue. The issue was with the Bank ( WellsFargo and Bank of America). I was able to get Wellsfargo to work after I confirmed it was not a fraudulent transaction. No luck with BoA. Please check your text or emails to see if the bank sent any note.
