Giant, Martin’s and Stop & Shop normally only offer 2x points for Mastercard gift cards when they run these promos, so it’s always nice when there’s the more rare 3x version. Every $500 Mastercard gift card you buy earns at least $15 in rewards (and possibly more depending on how you redeem the points) which more than offsets the $5.95 purchase fee.

If you’re in a Stop & Shop area, note that they’ve recently started enforcing the limit of one gift card rewards offer per household which seems to be $2,000 per week.
