This is an insanely good deal if you have a Giant Eagle store near you and spend a lot on gas. Fuelperks! that you earn can be used to save on gas up to 30 gallons per fill up. With this deal, that means you can save up to $6 for every $50 gift card you buy – effectively a 12% discount.

That’s a good return on gift cards like Disney, Uber and Airbnb, but it’s excellent when you consider that Visa and Mastercard gift cards are included. I’m assuming the VGCs and MGCs fall under the ‘Anywhere’ category. One thing that’s not entirely clear is if it’s only fixed-value VGCs and MGCs (i.e. $25, $50, $100 and $200 values), or if variable load (i.e. up to $500) will also earn the 20c in Fuelperks!. If it’s the latter, that makes this deal even better.

Edit: Online they’re only selling $50, $100 and $200 Visa gift cards and $25, $50 and $100 Mastercard gift cards. I’m not sure if that’s the same in-store too.

The only downside is that the value earned from this deal is limited by how much gas you need. On the positive side, Fuelperks! don’t expire until two months after the last day of the month in which they’re earned. That means the Fuelperks! you earn from this deal will be good through to the end of April.

To make this offer even sweeter, pay with a credit card that earns a bonus at grocery stores.
