Update 9/9/20: This Fluz party is now live! I’ve gotten clarification from Fluz that if you signed up using my referral link at some point in the past, you’ll be eligible for the bonus cashback on these brands even if you didn’t sign up in the last week or so, so that’s great news 🙂
Update 9/8/20: I contacted Fluz to clarify how the GCGALORE1 code works. In the initial post I’d said that it needed to be entered when checking out, but my understanding was incorrect. When signing up for Fluz, GCGALORE1 is the code you enter when it asks for a referral code.
Having said that, based on past Fluz parties I’ve seen it might still be possible to participate in this event if you signed up with my referral link in the past, even if you didn’t add the GCGALORE1 code.

This Wednesday (September 9) is Fluz Party day for GC Galore readers. We’ve teamed up with Fluz to offer bonus cashback on the following gift card brands:
- Amazon – 1.5% cashback
- Wish (virtual Visa gift card) – 1.5% cashback
- Macy’s – 8% cashback
This sale will run from 10am ET to 10pm ET or while supplies last. Given the brands involved, I imagine that the sale will end sooner than 10pm, so it’d probably be best to participate earlier in the day if you’re interested.
How To Participate
To take part in the sale, you need to sign up for Fluz using this referral link. During the signup process, it’ll ask you for a referral code – you’ll need to enter GCGALORE1. Then on September 9, use the Fluz app to purchase gift cards for the above three brands and earn those higher cashback rates.
For fraud protection, Fluz requires that you verify any credit cards that you want to pay with. To do that, Fluz will place a small hold on your card (usually $1-$2); check your online statement for that pending transaction and enter that amount in the Fluz app. The process only takes a minute or two per card, so it’s not too much hassle.
What You’ll Get
There are a few ways that you’ll benefit when joining Fluz and taking advantage of this promotion:
- 3x 35% Vouchers – When joining Fluz, you receive three vouchers that offer up to 35% bonus cashback on select gift card brands (but not the brands listed above). Those vouchers have a maximum value of $3.50 bonus cashback each, so they’re worth a total of $10.50 if you redeem all three.
- Bonus Cashback – During the Fluz Party, buy gift cards for Amazon, Wish and/or Macy’s to earn bonus cashback on those brands.
- Shop Small Amex Offer – If you still haven’t used the Shop Small Amex Offer ten times, you can pay for the gift cards with the card you’ve loaded that Amex Offer to in order to earn the $5 statement credits because payments to Fluz trigger the offer.
- Additional Rewards & Stock – As an alternative to paying with a card with the Shop Small Amex Offer added to it, you might be able to earn additional rewards depending on what credit cards you have and/or stock via the Bumped app – check out this post for more.
What I’ll Get

- 1x 35% Voucher – As mentioned above, when you join Fluz you receive three vouchers offering up to 35% bonus cashback. When you use my referral link, I receive one of those vouchers too.
- Residual Cashback – When referring another user to Fluz, you earn a small amount of residual cashback on their future purchases. To be honest, I’ve never looked too deeply into how that works and so I’ve never run the math. It’s basically free money though which doesn’t reduce the amount of cashback the person you referred earns. I therefore don’t know how much residual cashback I’ll earn from purchases you make during this Fluz Party as that also depends on which of the brands you buy and how much you spend. Based on previous experience, I think I’ll earn $0.12 for each $200 Wish gift card that’s sold, although I might be wrong about that.
What To Do Now
I’ll republish this post on Wednesday September 9 once the sale goes live. In the meantime, it’s probably worth signing up now and verifying whatever credit card(s) you want to pay with so that there’s no delay once the party goes live.
The picture says to sign up using the referral code GCGALORE1. However, the section “How to Participate” says to use the promo code GCGALORE1 on September 9. Is this a referral code to sign up for an account or a promo code to receive the discount at checkout?
If we previously signed up using your personal referral link, can we get the discounts on 9/9 using the promo code?
Apparently it’s a code to use during the checkout process rather than it being the referral code. I’d thought it was an alternative referral code initially, but checked with Fluz and they advised it’s more like a coupon code that can be used on these three brands.
I think Fluz runs these parties to try to get new users, but the code is apparently linked to my Fluz account and so if you previously joined using my referral link, I’d imagine that you’d be able to use the GCGALORE1 code too 🙂
Could you explain how the Wish GCs work? Are they a virtual visa that only work with Wish?
They’re virtual Visa gift cards that work anywhere that accepts VGCs online – not just Wish.
