Tips & Ideas
The email I received from Discover highlighted Google Pay, but it’s actually valid when using most digital wallets. It appears to be a targeted offer as my wife got it on her account, but I didn’t.
This promotion will stack nicely with Discover’s Q3 spending categories of grocery stores and Walmart. You could buy three $500 Visa gift cards in separate transactions, thereby maxing out the $1,500 for the $5 spending category, with the $20 statement credit from this offer offsetting the purchase fees on the Visa gift cards.
