- The $50 promotional gift cards are made from aluminum cut from various locations on the DC-9’s fuselage and tail. As a result, each card will be unique in color, texture, and thickness and may look slightly different from the card pictured in the photos. The front of the card you receive may be white, blue, or metallic in color, and the back may be metallic or coated with the original green zinc chromate anti-corrosion primer. On the front, all cards are laser-etched with identifying details and an outline of the aircraft as well a unique sequence number ranging from 1 to 2,500. The laser etching on the back will display the redemption details including the card’s number, redemption code, and terms and conditions.
Tips & Ideas
The terms make it look like there are only 2,500 of these promotional cards, so buy ASAP if you’re interested as I imagine they’ll sell out pretty quickly. This won’t really be worth buying for reselling seeing as it’s only a 9.1% discount on $550 worth of gift cards, but perhaps the $50 will have more value for collectors due to it being made from a Delta aircraft.
Note that although the landing page is on Delta’s website, the page appears to be a CashStar layout which suggests that CashStar will process payment for the order. If so, that’d mean you couldn’t stack this with the Delta Amex Offer.
