I shared yesterday that Giant Eagle’s online gift card offering was now being run by Blackhawk Network (see this post for more details).
I noted in that post that a potentially positive outcome of the change is that it might make it easier to order $500 Best Buy gift cards online seeing as Giant Eagle could be so temperamental about processing online gift card orders.
Within 30 minutes of posting that, Giant Eagle/Blackhawk Network removed Best Buy gift cards from sale. I updated the post with that news and noted the following:

Well, it turns out my lack of confidence was misplaced. Best Buy gift cards are back, so it’s once again possible to order them online. Hopefully you have more success than I did because Giant Eagle/BHN cancelled my first order. That might be because I was using a VPN due to being on hotel Wi-Fi, so I need to turn off the VPN and use my phone as a hotspot to see if that works. Another potential reason is that I checked out as a guest. Setting up an account might help, so I’ll do that too.
