Tips & Ideas
We often see these types of Best Buy Amex Offers leading up to the holidays, so it’s great to see it making a return. If you wouldn’t be spending $250 at Best Buy organically, you can buy gift cards to lock in the 10% discount.
Gift cards are listed as being excluded, but that only applies to Best Buy eGift cards because payment for those is processed by CashStar. You can buy digital and physical gift cards for third parties from Best Buy’s website, as well as physical gift cards for both Best Buy and third parties in-store.
Be sure to load this offer to a card ASAP because enrollment is limited and it’ll likely max out very quickly. In terms of the best card to add this to, there was a different Best Buy Amex Offer giving +1 at Best Buy, so it might be worth loading to that card. Otherwise, a Blue Business Plus offers 2x if you’ve not maxed out the $50k spending limit, while Amex Business Platinum cards give 1.5x on Best Buy purchases. Amex Business Gold cards now offer 4x too if this is one of your top two earning categories this month.

Targeted for sure, as I didn’t get it on my Amex Plat.
Are we sure e-gift cards (other than Best Buy eGCs) are still working for this offer? Ordered $250+ worth of eGCs, cards were delivered, but no email from Amex saying the offer was triggered.
It’s always worked in the past. Amex doesn’t always send emails, so I’d be surprised if you didn’t get the statement credit.
