- The United shopping portal is offering bonus miles when installing their shopping button & spending $25 or more:
- 500 miles for non-cardholders
- 1,000 miles for cardholders

Key Terms
- During the “October 2020 Button Install Bonus” campaign, which runs from 10/22/2020 through 10/30/2020 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Non-cardholder Members will earn a one-time bonus of 500 MileagePlus bonus award miles (the “Bonus Miles”) when they successfully install the MileagePlus Shopping button (browser requirements detailed on button page) and use the button to spend $25 or more in qualifying purchases during the Bonus Period.
- Cardholder Members will earn a one-time bonus of 1000 MileagePlus bonus award miles (the “Bonus Miles”) when they successfully install the MileagePlus Shopping button (browser requirements detailed on button page) and use the button to spend $25 or more in qualifying purchases during the Bonus Period.
- To qualify, members must also keep the button installed for a minimum of 30 days after the end of the Bonus Period and must not have installed the button previously before the Bonus Period.
- The Bonus Miles are in addition to any standard MileagePlus miles earned from shopping online through the MileagePlus Shopping mall.
- “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.

- Please allow 8-10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus award miles to post to your MileagePlus Shopping account.
- Limit one bonus redemption per member.
Tips & Ideas
If you’re a cardholder and spend exactly $25, this works out to be 40 bonus miles per dollar which is a great return.
As always with these airline portal bonuses, gift card purchases are excluded, but that doesn’t seem to apply to purchases from Raise and GiftCards.com. Note that if you’re buying a gift card from Raise, the amount you actually pay will need to be at least $25 – buying a $25 gift card for less than that won’t trigger this bonus.
United is also offering 500 bonus miles when spending $100+ after clicking through from the portal. I’m assuming both these offers will stack if your transaction is for $100 or more.
