Although some Happy gift card brands were recently retired (Happy Guy, Happy Holidays and seemingly Happy Kid), a few new ones appeared recently.
Happy Birthday and Happy Graduation were launched a few weeks ago, while three more have been launched even more recently – Happy Treats, Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Father’s Day.
These are all currently available on GiftCards.com, so hopefully they’ll also be available in stores so that they’re options when there are sales on Happy gift cards.
Here are the new cards and a list of the eligible retailers:
Happy Treats
- Regal Cinemas
- GameStop
- Cold Stone Creamery
- Yankee Candle
- Ulta Beauty
- Sally Beauty
Happy Mother’s Day
- The Cheesecake Factory
- Macy’s
- Panera Bread
- Regal Cinemas
- Spafinder
- Sally Beauty
- Ulta Beauty
- Yankee Candle
Happy Father’s Day
- Foot Locker
- Cinemark Theatres
- Lowe’s
- Buffalo Wild Wings
- GameStop
- Eddie Bauer
- Red Robin
- Express
From a gift card reselling perspective, the most interesting new brand is Happy Father’s Day due to the inclusion of both GameStop and Lowe’s. Lowe’s was an eligible retailer on Happy Holidays gift cards, but that brand has been retired, so this Father’s Day card is now the only one that can be used at Lowe’s. Lowe’s carries a good range of third party gift cards and Visa gift cards, so buying Happy Father’s Day gift cards at a discount can be parlayed into discounts on those other cards. Happy Treats will also be of interest for resellers because of GameStop being included on that card too.
Seeing as the Happy Holidays brand was retired after the holidays, it’s highly likely that the Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Father’s Day gift cards will also disappear after May and June respectively.
