Wayfair sells gift cards online and it seems like they process the payments themselves. You should therefore be able to buy a $75 gift card to lock in the 20% discount / 1,500 Membership Rewards.
From what I can remember reading about past Wayfair Amex Offers, Wayfair can be a little bit sensitive about gift card purchases when taking advantage of Amex Offers. That might have been in the past though when you could add Amex Offers to every card, so it might not be an issue anymore.
