Tips & Ideas

Opportunities to save at Walmart and Target don’t come around too often, other than the standard 5% discount you get at Target paying with a Target RedCard. Earning up to 10% back as a statement credit at either of these stores is therefore a nice offer, especially seeing as the statement credit card be earned twice.

You can buy gift cards at either store to lock in the 10% discount if you wouldn’t organically spend $100 at Target and/or Walmart by October 15. That includes Visa and Mastercard gift cards, so the $5 statement credit will largely offset the activation fee.
