Tips & Ideas
Note that this Walmart.com Amex Offer is only for online purchases – not in-store. eGift cards are excluded, but I think that’s referring to Walmart eGift cards because those appear to be sold on a subdomain of Walmart’s website and so presumably code a little differently.
You should however be able to buy physical Walmart gift cards and both physical and digital third party gift cards because payment for all those should be processed by Walmart.com.
With a limit of $40 back in statement credits, you’ll max this out when spending a total of $800. This Walmart.com Amex Offer appears to be good on more than one purchase seeing as the wording of the offer refers to ‘purchases’, so you could split up gift card purchases if you think Walmart would instacancel your order for $800 worth of gift cards seeing as they can sometimes be sensitive to that.
