Tips & Ideas
This offer appears to be targeted as my wife had it available on one of her cards but I didn’t have it on any of mine. It’ll be a very popular offer for those targeted, so load it ASAP in case there are limits on how many people can enroll in the offer.
The nice thing is that Shae had it on her Amex Gold card, so we’ll earn 5% back in addition to the 4x Membership Rewards that the card earns on grocery spend.
Note that one of the terms excludes gift card purchases. Seeing as they’ve specifically included that wording, Amex will presumably be enforcing that when getting Level 3 data from grocery stores. This offer is therefore a better option when used to pay for groceries given how clawback-happy Amex is and using a card like the Chase Freedom for gift card purchases seeing as that’s offering 5% this quarter.
With a limit of $10 back, you’ll max this out when spending $200 at grocery stores. With more than four months to do that, it shouldn’t be a problem maxing out that $10 statement credit limit.
