Tips & Ideas
This is an interesting Amex Offer from a gift card perspective because several of the tech companies listed sell gift cards.
Getting $40 back when spending $500 is a discount of 8%; that’s not huge, but it could make sense in some cases. For example, Apple sells gift cards and so buying $500 of those should lock in the 8% discount.
Another good one is Newegg. They sell a wide range of third party gift cards and often run sales on gift cards. This Amex Offer can therefore make those deals more profitable, or deals which wouldn’t make sense ordinarily more worthwhile.
Another potentially great option is Dell. If you have this offer on an Amex Business Platinum which comes with Dell credits, you can stack those offers for even more savings.
HP sells HP gift cards and Microsoft sells Xbox and Microsoft Store gift cards, although neither of those options are as interesting as Apple, Newegg or Dell. Having said that, if you need to buy merchandise from any of these retailers, that might be a moot point.
Enrollment is limited, so it’d be best to load this to one of your cards ASAP as I imagine this will be a popular deal and so it might not stick around for long if it’s not already added to your account.
I got spend $300 get $30 back on my Blue Business Plus, and it can be used up to 3x.
