Tips & Ideas
These are some nice bonuses if you’re targeted. Assuming most of these cards require a minimum load of $25 (although some might be $15), you’ll earn 250 fuel points for each $25 card – 200 bonus fuel points and 50 from the regular 2x rate.
Those fuel points can be redeemed for 25c off per gallon of gas on up to 35 gallons. Note though that you can only redeem in 100 point increments, so if you only earn 250 points, you can only redeem 200 of those for 20c off per gallon.
Assuming you earn more fuel points than that though, those 250 points can save you up to $8.75 on gas, or 35% of your original gift card spend. That’s therefore a great deal for personal use and could even make sense for reselling if you can maximize those fuel points.
There’s apparently a separate digital coupon for $4 off a Visa or Mastercard gift card, but that one is targeted as well.
