Tips & Ideas
Despite the fact that the GREATFUN promo code gives you a 50% discount on the “value” of these gift cards, I’d give this deal a miss. My understanding of Global Hotel Cards is that the prices are higher than booking elsewhere, so the discount will probably take prices back to what they should be.
You also won’t earn points or receive status benefits from the hotel you’re booking with as it won’t be a direct booking, plus you can often earn cashback through a shopping portal for hotel bookings. So overall, not a good deal.
If you do see some value in this though and have a Chase Ink Plus or Ink Cash card, pay with one of those cards via PayPal to earn 5x/5% on the transaction.
