- Spend $100 and get 2,500 Membership Rewards, or
- Spend $100 and get a $25 statement credit.

This is an excellent deal and is profitable for gift card reselling even if you don’t have any kind of bulk seller relationships. 25% off Amazon gift cards is awesome, or you could use it to make a profit on Visa or Mastercard gift cards. If you’re planning on using these offers to buy Visa/Mastercard, it’d be worth waiting until Staples has some kind of deal on them that reduces/eliminates the activation fees seeing as you have more than 6 weeks to use the offer.
These offers are highly targeted, so check all your different Amex cards to see if you have one or both of the offers. I was only targeted for the Membership Rewards offer, whereas my wife got both.
Don’t forget that there’s an existing Staples Amex Offer giving 10% back. If you’re able to load one of these new offers to a card that already had that offer, the two will stack to give you 35% back, or 10% back + 2,500 Membership Rewards.
For in-store gift card purchases, ensure that your Amex card(s) with these offers loaded are linked to the Dosh app as they’re currently paying 3% cashback at Staples. The terms of the Dosh offer state that gift card purchases are excluded, but it’s been tracking nonetheless. Note that there’s a limit of $5 cashback per day with Dosh.
