With this deal, you’re effectively saving 16.67% on $30 worth of Starbucks gift cards.
Edit: The following section might be incorrect. When doing reloads in the app before, it’s always been processed by Starbucks. However, it looks like this transaction might be processed by CashStar as it’s a gift card purchase rather than a reload, which means Chase and Amex Offers wouldn’t be triggered. The original discount of 16.67% is still pretty good though.
There’s also currently a targeted Chase Offer giving 10% back at Starbucks with a $3 limit. If you pay with that card, you’re getting $30 worth of gift cards for a net cost of $22.50, savings of 25%.
There’s an alternative targeted Chase offer giving 5% back with a limit of $1.50 if you don’t have the 10% version. Alternatively, check your Amex Offers as there are sometimes ones for Starbucks giving 15% off – I’m not sure if there are any of those floating around right now though.
