Update: I just remembered that you can save ~32% on some Landry’s brands (which can be used at other Landry’s brands) on Groupon, so that’s a much safer option if you’re in the market for their gift cards for personal use or reselling.

Tips & Ideas
Use caution if buying these gift cards, because I don’t think the deals are actually quite as good as they initially seem. The gift card multipacks have a headline discount of 25%, but that might not be the case and even if it is, there are still restrictions.
First off, the $20/$15 bonus cards don’t appear to be regular gift cards and so can’t be resold in the conventional way. Sam’s Club doesn’t make it clear when bonus cards are promo cards or regular gift cards which is annoying. For example, they had a DSW deal in the past which included a bonus card which expired several months later, but their deal on Ulta Beauty gift cards comes with a bonus card which is a regular gift card.
With these Landry’s cards, some of the descriptions don’t state anything about the bonus cards, but others mention restrictions. For example, the McCormick & Schmick’s deal states the following regarding the bonus card:
This is a promotional card issued by MOCGC, Corp. It can be used once and only towards a minimum $50 food and/or beverage purchase at any Landry’s, Inc. owned restaurant in the US. It cannot be redeemed for alcoholic beverages in any state where prohibited by law, for take-out, gratuity, merchandise or gift cards.
If it was a regular gift card, there wouldn’t be any kind of restrictions as to minimum spend required. More concerning though is the next part of the description:
Reward card expires 12/31/2019.
If that’s true, the bonus cards for McCormick & Schmick’s – and possibly all these other brands – have already expired which would explain why there’s a seemingly decent 25% discount. Having said that, it might be that the item’s description simply hasn’t been updated since last year and so it might be that the bonus cards expire on December 31, 2020.
If you’re considering buying any of these cards, I’d play it safe and only order one gift card multipack first to check the terms once they arrive. The various deals are due to last until September 30, so you’ll have plenty of time to order more provided they don’t go out of stock first.
