Note that this particular Sam’s Club Amex Offer is only valid for online transactions, not in-store ones.
Sam’s Club sells a variety of gift cards, all of which are already discounted. You’ll therefore need to ensure the total in your cart comes to more than $200 in order to trigger the Amex Offer, as $200 worth of gift cards costs less than their face value.
This could be a good way to save on Disney gift cards seeing as it’s not as easy buying those with a decent discount. Alternatively, buy a $200 Visa or Mastercard gift card for $206.48 as your net cost after the Amex Offer will be $181.48 – an easy $18.52 profit.
Gift card transactions are usually excluded from earning cashback through a shopping portal, but click through from one anyway just in case it tracks. Here are the current rates for Sam’s Club.
Be sure to check all your cards for this offer, as I’m not sure if it’s widely targeted or not. It’s especially worth checking all of your cards that earn Membership Rewards in case you have a version of the offer that gives 2,500 Membership Rewards rather than $25. You’d then be able to add the 2,500 MR version to one card and the $25 statement credit version to a different card.
