Both of these are profitable deals, although the $100 Visa gift card deal is more profitable than the $50 one. $100 Visa gift cards have a $5.95 purchase fee, so buying two of them means you’ll profit by $3.10 after the $15 discount. The $50 cards have a purchase fee of $4.95 and so you make $0.10 profit when buying two of them due to the $10 instant discount.
Be sure to load these digital coupons to your Just For U account ASAP as they tend to disappear before their expiry date if you’ve not loaded them.
These types of deals can be a great way to rack up more bonused spend when paying with a credit card that earns more at grocery stores.

Hi Stephen, do you know if these Just 4 U deals on Visa/MC gift cards were discontinued? Until last year, there was a constant stream of these every few weeks or so, alternating between Via and MC, fixed value and variable load combinations. But I think in the last 8-9 months I haven’t seen any. I thought at first that maybe I somehow stopped subscribing to these posts and was missing them but doesn’t look like there have been many/any since mid-last year, isn’t it?
Safeway, Albertsons, etc. moved from having gift cards provided by Blackhawk Network to having them provided by Incomm last year. Since that change they’ve had far fewer gift card deals in general and none at all on Visa and Mastercard gift cards unfortunately.
Thank you, Stephen. That explains it. I thought I somehow filtered out Visa/MC notifications from GC Galore, or that Just4U started to be so uncannily personalized (after all it is “just for me” Lol) that it wasn’t targeting me since i bought so my GCs earlier.
It has made it much harder to max out grocery category bonuses on Chase Freedom and Discover. The ROI is very low if we have to pay the full fee.
Try testing out various types of variable load Visa gift cards. There have been reports that certain kinds sometimes earn Just For U Rewards points.
