This is a decent deal as you’ll make a few bucks and be able to earn bonus points/miles by paying with a credit card that earns more at grocery stores. It should work on variable load Visa gift cards too.
If you’re buying a Visa gift card at the same time as some groceries, be sure to check your receipt afterwards to ensure the $10 discount was applied. I took advantage of a similar deal a couple of weeks ago at a Shaw’s and the $10 wasn’t taken off. Thankfully I noticed before leaving the store, so I was able to get the $10 back from the customer service desk.
