While it’s nice to finally have a new gift card deal at Safeway, Albertsons et al, it’s a shame that it’s only for 5x as the maximum value you can get from the points is up to 12.5% off gas.
Ever since INCOMM took over the gift card rack at Albertsons-owned stores, their gift card deals have been lame.
I’m puzzled by the example math. The reason to buy the card is to get the gas discount, not a gift card discount. For the gas, it comes to over 20% even if you don’t buy the full 25 gallons. Add to that any possible CC spend, whether bonused or not.
