The dates for this promo depend on which region your store(s) are based in. Some stores have weekly ads that run Wednesday to Tuesday; for those the promo dates are July 31-August 13. For regions where their weekly ads go from Friday to Thursday, August 2-15 will be your promo dates.
This deal isn’t showing in all weekly ads. In the past I thought these types of promos were regional, but I think they actually run at all stores – they just don’t get displayed in their weekly ads all the time. Hopefully there’s signage in your store to give peace of mind before buying gift cards.
IIRC, the $10 coupons you’ll receive will be valid for a week beyond the promotion’s end date, but be sure to check the date(s) on the coupons you receive to ensure you redeem them in time.
You’ll also earn 2x points as standard. Safeway, Albertsons, et al all tend to have a digital coupon offering 4x points on gift card purchases that’s available on Saturdays and Sundays only. There was a gap of a few weeks recently where they didn’t have one, but it started back up again a couple of weeks ago – hopefully that continues for the next couple of weeks to make this even more rewarding.

Can this be done more than once?
Yes. I can’t remember if you can redeem more than one coupon at a time on subsequent grocery purchases though.
