Tips & Ideas
Earning 5% cashback or 5x Membership Rewards is a fantastic offer for in-store purchases.
Note that gift card purchases are excluded; I imagine that they’ll track initially but won’t necessarily pay out. Rakuten has been known at times to claw back cashback/Membership Rewards earned when buying gift cards through these card-linked in-store offers (particularly with Office Depot/OfficeMax in days gone by), so I’d count any cashback/Membership Rewards earned to be a bonus rather than counting on them to make a deal worthwhile.

Does Rakuten card link stack with Dosh and Google pay?
I’m tempted to link my card that is Dosh and Google pay stackable. But as I learned the hard way with Bitmo card link, if you over add cards you can mess everything up where nobody tracks.
That Bitmo card link is a bait and switch scam. They started out tracking good but I haven’t seen anything for weeks from the 1 card I have left on there, wife and I buy a ton from target (non gcs) and Bitmo gladly collects the data without paying out a dime (or even 1/10th of 1% that they promise).
It doesn’t stack with Google Pay as that runs on the same network. As for Dosh, I’m not sure. I used to think that they ran on a different network, but lately it’s seemed like perhaps they run on RCLON too.
IME, Dosh will stack with Rakuten or Google pay but not both
I make a purchase of $25 gc at walgreen today, both ebates and gpay(10off25) triggered.
I also see Lowe’s on the list for 5x. May stack with JetBlue 3x cards linked offer too since they are on a different network (Collinson)
Thanks – it looks like they’ve added a few more retailers, unless I missed some yesterday. I’ll get Lowe’s and the others added to the list.
One more question, anyone know how staples works with ebates?
I linked my chase ink, and make a purchase of $800 gc, ebates tracked immediately. but i am unable to relink the same card again, always failed. then I removed the card and added it back, linking is ok, but my instore purchases never been tracked again.
I linked my CIC as well for Staples and my purchase today did not track.
I have the same issue. The terms for Staples say one redemption per cardholder for the duration of the offer…. So that’s probably why. My other cards are still linked just not the one I used recently.
