2%/2x isn’t an amazing return, but earning 2x Membership Rewards when buying Visa or Mastercard gift cards could still be useful.
There are a couple of things to note with this though. First, GiftCards.com now limits you to earning shopping portal rewards on only $2,000 of orders per month. Depending on how much you’d be spending and how you value cashback, Membership Rewards and other airline miles, you might do better by clicking through from one of the airline portals currently offering bonus miles – Southwest, United, Alaska Airlines and American Airlines.
