Rakuten is offering 10%/10x at many stores online through Friday, but that’s not too great from a gift card perspective as many times gift card purchases made online won’t track.
These in-store offers are a little more interesting for gift card purchases because they’re card-linked offers. Although the terms of each offer tend to exclude gift card purchases, that doesn’t seem to get enforced too strictly.
The good thing is that these in-store offers can stack with Amex Offers and Chase Offers. For example, there’s a Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store Amex Offer giving $40 back on $200 spend. You could buy a $200 Ralph Lauren gift card in-store and get $40 from the Amex Offer and $20 or 2,000 Membership Rewards from Rakuten.
Other stores potentially of interest are H&M, Levi’s and Macy’s. All three had Amex Offers that recently expired, so hopefully new Amex Offers or Chase Offers for them show up in the next few days.
