It’s been a couple of months since the Point debit card ran one of these streak promotions, so it’s good to see it make a return. It’s not quite as good as past offers though; at the beginning of June they offered 3,000 points (worth $30) on $100 of total spend, so a potential 30% return. Later that month they offered 3,500 points (worth $35) on $200 of total spend, so a potential 17.5% return.
This deal offers a potential 15% return which is still a pretty good offer. The easiest way to play this is to reload your Amazon gift card balance by an average of $40 per day. Note that the transaction values can vary – you can reload by $196 one day and $1 the next four days to meet both the five day streak and $200 spend requirements.
The benefit of going the Amazon route is that not only will you earn 3,000 points (worth $30), but they’re also offering 5x points worth 5% as one of their Access deals. Spending $200 on Amazon will therefore earn you an additional 1,000 points (worth $10) for a total return of 20% when spending exactly $200 across a five day period.
